4 Minutes to the Park

You can eat breakfast, get the kids in the car and still be at the gate before it opens. If the little ones need a nap or a break in the afternoon, come back, rest for a bit and head out again. That’s hard to do when your hotel is a half hour away.

Two Ways to Stay

Main House Suites. We have five suites in the main house, and every one includes a fresh home cooked breakfast. Our five suites sleep anywhere from 4 to 18 guests, which makes them perfect for families, family reunions, retreats and groups traveling together. The upstairs living room gives everyone a place to hang out at night in our exclusive bunk room and ask about our two octagon turret rooms. It looks right out over the horse track.

Barn Apartments. We turned the old horse barn into three apartments, each with its own kitchen and laundry. They work well for longer stays and for families who like to cook. The kids will find books and toys waiting for them. Breakfast is available next door for an extra charge, inquire to make a reservation.

Breakfast Before the Park

Breakfast is served in the dining room or out on the wraparound porch. Across the street is Goshen Historic Track, the oldest active harness racing track in North America, and most mornings the horses are out training. Guests tell us their kids remember the horses as much as the park.

After the Park

The village is a short walk, with places for dinner and ice cream. The Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame is right by the track.

If the kids still have energy left, head over to The Castle Fun Center, a short drive away in Chester. Inside there’s bowling, laser tag, roller skating, an arcade and a climbing wall. Outside you’ll find go karts, mini golf, batting cages and a zip line. It’s a good rainy day backup too, since most of the indoor games run all year. The go karts, mini golf and other outdoor rides are seasonal, so check their hours before you go.

⭕ Get there when the gates open. The first hour is usually the quietest.
⭕ With younger kids, two shorter park days often go better than one long one.
⭕ Summer weekends and holidays fill up early, so book ahead.
